Singer Lee Seung-chul expressed his sorrow over the significant damage caused to the Gyeongsangdo region by the recent wildfires and canceled his scheduled concert.
On the 27th, Lee Seung-chul posted an announcement regarding the '2025 Lee Seung-chul Concert - Orchestrack 2' Gyeongju performance on his social media.
The concert organizer, LSC Entertainment, stated, “We sincerely thank all the audience members who have been waiting for this performance, and we deeply apologize for delivering this unfortunate news,” adding, “Due to the recent wildfire disaster situation in the Gyeongbuk and Gyeongnam regions, the Lee Seung-chul 'Orchestrack 2' concert scheduled for April 5, 2025, at 4 PM at the Gyeongju Arts Center has been regrettably canceled.”
They continued, “Tickets purchased will be fully refunded without any fees through the ticketing agency,” and noted, “Depending on the method of purchase, it may take about 5 to 7 business days, so please keep that in mind. We hope that no further damage occurs and sincerely wish for a quick recovery for the wildfire-affected areas and the safety of everyone.”
The wildfire that started on the 22nd in Uiseong-gun, Gyeongbuk, spread rapidly due to strong winds. This led to fires in neighboring areas such as Cheongsong, Andong, Yeongyang, Yeongdeok, Sancheong, and Hadong, resulting in increased damage. While fires have been extinguished in some areas, firefighting efforts are still ongoing.
