NCT member Haechan has donated 50 million won to support victims of the recent wildfires.
On the 26th, the Community Chest of Korea announced that NCT member Haechan donated 50 million won to support victims of the wildfires that recently occurred in the Yeongnam region.
Since the wildfires that broke out in the Yeongnam region, including Sancheong in Gyeongnam and Uiseong in Gyeongbuk, starting from the 21st, there have been 18 fatalities and over 27,000 displaced individuals. The Community Chest of Korea is conducting a special fundraising campaign for wildfire relief until April 30.
Haechan stated, “Hearing about the significant damage caused by the sudden wildfires, I wanted to help in any way I could,” and added, “I sincerely hope that the residents of the affected areas can quickly return to their stable daily lives.”
Previously, Haechan donated 100 million won for the recovery efforts following the Turkey-Syria earthquake in 2023 and became a member of the 'Honor Society,' a group of major donors for the Community Chest of Korea. He continues to contribute to disaster relief efforts consistently across various disaster sites.
