According to the data from the Korean Film Council's integrated ticketing system on the 15th, 'Mickey 17' attracted 62,117 viewers on the 14th, bringing its cumulative audience to 2,343,387.
In 'Mickey 17', a disposable (expendable) character named Mickey (played by Robert Pattinson) is sent on dangerous missions. While facing his 17th death crisis, Mickey 18 is printed, believing that Mickey has died, leading to an unpredictable story.
The film surpassed 2 million viewers just 10 days after its release and has maintained its box office lead for 15 consecutive days as of today.
This work has garnered more attention as it is the first film after winning 4 Academy Awards for 'Parasite'. The net production cost, excluding marketing expenses, is reported to be $118 million (approximately 170.1 billion KRW). To break even, it needs to earn between $275 million to $300 million (approximately 288.4 billion to 432.6 billion KRW) worldwide.
