The police have requested an autopsy for the late singer Wheesung from the National Forensic Service (NFS).
The Seoul Gwangjin Police Station announced on the 11th that they plan to request an autopsy from the National Forensic Service to confirm the exact cause and time of death of the late Wheesung. The autopsy is expected to take place on the morning of the 12th.
It has been reported that the family will not hold a separate memorial service for the deceased and will proceed with cremation after the autopsy.
Wheesung was found in a state of cardiac arrest at an apartment in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul, at 6:29 PM on the 10th and was pronounced dead. It is reported that the fire authorities were dispatched after receiving a call from his mother.
The police currently see no signs of external intrusion or criminal activity and are investigating the presence of a suicide note to determine the exact cause of death.
Born in 1982, Wheesung debuted in 2002 with his first full album 'Like A Movie.' He gained immense popularity with hit songs such as 'Is It Not Possible,' 'Incurable Disease,' 'I Even Thought About Marriage,' and 'Love is Delicious.'
The deceased was scheduled to perform in a joint concert with fellow singer KCM on the 15th and a solo concert on the 23rd, but the performances have been canceled due to the unexpected news.
