Actress Jo Min-soo revealed that she hesitated to take on the role of a grandmother.

On the afternoon of the 25th, an online production presentation for the Genie TV original drama 'Riding Life' (written by Seong Yoon-ah and Jo Won-dong, directed by Kim Cheol-kyu) was held. Attendees included Jeon Hye-jin, Jo Min-soo, Jung Jin-young, Jeon Seok-ho, and director Kim Cheol-kyu.

'Riding Life' depicts the life of three generations of women as Jung-eun, a passionate working mom, entrusts her mother, Jia, with her daughter's '7-year-old exam' riding lessons, capturing the struggles of life in Daechi-dong.

Jo Min-soo plays Yoon Jia, a child art therapist who understands children's psychology. Although she is a novice rider who has entered the world of riding at her daughter Jung-eun's request, she creates a new atmosphere among the mothers in Daechi-dong by teaching Seo-yoon in her own way.

Jo Min-soo described Yoon Jia as "a child psychologist. Now I have to start another parenting journey while finally living my life." She continued, "There are many cases of late-life parenting now. Socially, if couples don't work in both directions, it can't be sustained. I've seen older adults carrying kindergarten bags and going around with children. There's a saying, 'Never take care of your grandchildren; you won't have your own life.' But I've taken on this role. I have to stop dreaming about my future. Let's see how I resolve this."

Jo Min-soo mentioned that she pondered a lot about participating in the project. She said, "I really wondered if I could do it," and added, "We talked about not using the terms grandmother and grandfather, but it makes me so angry when they do. I said I'm not used to it." This brought laughter.

She continued, "When I received the script, I felt repulsed because I hadn't experienced it. I wondered if I could do it. It's a challenging role, but I wanted to express myself as a person. At first, I didn't feel it, but as I read, I found Jia to be wonderful. She lives without being pathetic, is moderately just, has a good perspective, and knows how to love people. I had a desire to see it through to the end. I think it's a time when we need a drama that can touch the ground."

'Riding Life' will premiere on March 3 at 10 PM.
