Actress Seo Ye-ji has paid tribute to the late Kim Sae-ron, who suddenly passed away.
On the 17th, Seo Ye-ji posted a photo of chrysanthemums in remembrance on her Instagram story.
Although there were no specific words, it is interpreted as a tribute to the late Kim Sae-ron, who was reported to have passed away the day before. Seo Ye-ji and the deceased were in the same agency during her lifetime.
The Seoul Seongdong Police Station reported that they received a call at 4:54 PM on the 16th regarding Kim Sae-ron's death at her home and confirmed the death. A police official stated, “No signs of external intrusion or criminal suspicion were found, but we are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the death.”
Kim Sae-ron debuted as a baby model in the magazine 'Anfang' in 2001 and began her acting career with the film 'Traveler' in 2009. She gained recognition for her role in the 2010 film 'The Man from Nowhere' alongside actor Won Bin, and appeared in several works such as 'Neighbors', 'Manhole', 'Dohee-ya', 'Snowy Road', and 'Local People'.
While actively working, Kim Sae-ron faced a crisis in 2022 due to a drunk driving incident. As a result of this incident, a significant portion of her scenes in the Netflix series 'Hunting Dogs' was edited out, and she withdrew from the SBS drama 'Trolley', in which she was scheduled to appear. Afterward, Kim Sae-ron aimed for a return to acting after two years through the play 'Dongchimi', but faced difficulties due to negative public opinion. The film 'Guitar Man', which she finished filming last year, became her last work.
The deceased's mortuary has been set up at Asan Medical Center in Seoul, and the funeral will be held at 6:20 AM on the 19th.
