Designer Lee Sang-bong expressed his condolences by revealing a message he received from Gu Jun-yeop, who lost his wife, the late Seo Hee-won, three years after their marriage.

On the 4th, designer Lee Sang-bong wrote on his SNS, "I thought the news about Gu Jun-yeop's Taiwanese wife, Hsu Hsi-yuan (Seo Hee-won), who died of pneumonia while traveling in Japan during the Lunar New Year, was fake news."

He continued, "I was so shocked when it came out in various media that I sent a message to Jun-yeop, asking if he was okay, if this was true, and to stay strong. I didn't get a reply, so I called (Kang) Won-rae, and he said he hadn't heard back either. Late at night, I received a message saying he saw it late and that he was holding up."

Lee Sang-bong said, "Jun-yeop, stay strong. And I pray for the soul of Seo Hee-won." He added, "I know he must be in shock right now, but thinking about how much pain he will face in the future makes me worry about his delicate personality. I can't find the right words to comfort him. All I can say is to stay strong."

According to local reports from Taiwan, Seo Hee-won, who passed away on the 3rd, showed severe coughing symptoms 1-2 days after arriving in Japan, which led to pneumonia. Her health rapidly deteriorated, and she was urgently transported to the hospital, but she passed away around 7 a.m. on the 2nd, before receiving ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation).

The deceased's body is scheduled to be cremated in Japan and transported to Taiwan, where it will be laid to rest. Discussions are ongoing regarding whether there will be separate funeral procedures in Taiwan.
