Singer Kim Song expressed her sorrow over the death of Seo Hee-won, the wife of Clon member Gu Jun-yeop and a Taiwanese actress.
On the 4th, Kim Song posted on social media, "This morning, I hurriedly woke Seon-i up and got him ready for school, packed my husband's lunch, and then lay down. My husband told me to stay in bed and not to come out while he was going to work."
She continued, "Yesterday, I received the unbelievable news and was in shock. There was nothing we could do, so we just spent time in a daze. My husband, who usually doesn't say much, took some alcohol to his room and drank alone because he had a cold. He probably cried alone," explaining that both Kang Won-rae and Kim Song had a hard time after hearing the news about Seo Hee-won.
Kim Song also said, "He used to reply immediately when I messaged him, but there was no contact until late at night. He said, 'I'm sorry I couldn't help you... All I can do is pray...' Even in that situation, he expressed his gratitude. He asked me to pray for Hee-won to rest in peace. Until the end, it was always about Hee-won..." She added, "When Hee-won was going through a tough time, they reunited like in a movie, and even though their time together was short, it must have been a great comfort and support for each other. I am grateful just to have watched over them."
She then shared, "I cried out loud during the day when no one was around. People leave comforting comments, but both Kang Won-rae and Gu Jun-yeop's wife have passed away, and there are malicious comments blaming fate. It's really... I have no words. Meanwhile, on the 3rd (local time), Taiwanese media such as ET Today reported the news of Seo Hee-won's death. It was reported that after arriving in Japan, she developed severe coughing symptoms 1-2 days later, which led to pneumonia, and her health rapidly deteriorated. She was urgently transported to the hospital but passed away around 7 AM on the 2nd before receiving ECMO (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation). The cause of death is said to be sepsis.
The deceased's body will be cremated in Japan and transported to Taiwan for burial. Discussions are ongoing regarding whether there will be separate funeral procedures in Taiwan.
