It was the only program across all channels to record a 2049 rating in the 3% range, significantly rising from its previous high of 2.8%, proving to be a hot topic drama that captivated the younger demographic with two consecutive weeks of all-kill buzz.
In yesterday's broadcast, a security guard named Kim (played by Koo Min-hyuk), who was supposed to meet Hae-sung, died after falling from the rooftop following a fight with a mysterious figure. Upon arriving at school, Hae-sung discovered the collapsed Kim and checked his hand for the notebook belonging to his missing father, Jung Jae-hyun (played by Oh Ui-sik).
At that moment, Hae-sung chased after a man who had been watching him and headed to the rooftop. While struggling with the mysterious man, a noise was heard from outside the rooftop door, and as Hae-sung turned around in surprise, the assailant escaped. Shortly after, it was revealed that all of this was orchestrated by Seo Myung-joo (played by Kim Shin-rok) and Park Jae-moon (played by Park Jin-woo), shocking the viewers at home.
After the situation was resolved, Hae-sung went to see Director Kim (played by Lee Seo-hwan) with the notebook. He grabbed Director Kim by the collar, questioning why the notebook was in the possession of the security guard, and realized that his missing father's last mission was the same as his own. Hae-sung was also outraged about the situation of his father, who went missing while on a mission, and the fact that this was all kept hidden from him.
Meanwhile, Hae-sung went to the student council room to uncover the secret contained in the grandfather clock. When he opened the clock and combined the keywords written in the notebook, the school anthem of Byeongmun High School began to play from inside the clock. As Hae-sung recorded the sound of the clock and was about to leave the student council room, Soo-ah appeared, creating a tense moment that made his palms sweat.
Soo-ah, having witnessed Hae-sung on the rooftop on the day of Kim's death, raised suspicions about his identity, making viewers' hearts race. In response, Hae-sung revealed to Soo-ah that he was a National Intelligence Service agent and disclosed his infiltration purpose, leaving viewers curious about where the story would lead next.
Additionally, Hae-sung delved into the third ghost story related to the grand piano. Thanks to Soo-ah, he learned that there was a grand piano from the 1950s in the chairman's office, and they decided to infiltrate the office during the school event 'Byeongmun Night.' However, due to accumulated demerits, Hae-sung was unable to participate in the event, so Soo-ah entered him into a promotional model selection to make up for the demerits, which provided a humorous moment throughout the scene.
Towards the end of the broadcast, the meeting between Hae-sung and Soo-ah excited viewers. The two came out together after drinking at Soo-ah's mother's store, and when a sudden rain started, Soo-ah's mother exclaimed, "Oh Bong-ja! Umbrella!" and handed them an umbrella. Hae-sung couldn't hide his surprise as he recalled his childhood friend Bong-ja.
