Kim Ga-young, an MBC weathercaster accused of being a perpetrator of workplace bullying against the late Oh Yoanna, has voluntarily stepped down from her regular appearance on MBC Radio's 'Good Morning FM with Tae Yi'.

On the broadcast of MBC FM4U's 'Good Morning FM with Tae Yi' on the 4th, DJ Tae Yi stated, "After yesterday's broadcast, Kim Ga-young expressed her intention to step down from the program."

He added, "The production team decided to accept her (Kim Ga-young's) intention through discussions with her," and introduced reporter Min Ja-young, who has joined the segment, saying, "I apologize for the start. We will move forward with more energy."

Oh Yoanna, who gained recognition after joining MBC as a weathercaster in 2021, suddenly passed away at the age of 28 on September 28 last year. The news of her death was belatedly reported three months later in December. At that time, the cause of death was not disclosed, but recently, Oh Yoanna's phone password was unlocked, revealing a 17-page letter in which she complained about workplace bullying from two specific colleagues, leading to claims that she had suffered from 'workplace bullying'.

In particular, the bereaved family claims that Oh Yoanna suffered from bullying for two years and has filed a civil lawsuit against the two MBC colleagues identified as perpetrators. Kim Ga-young, who has been named as one of the workplace bullying perpetrators, was reportedly part of a mobile messenger group chat that contained derogatory remarks about the deceased.

Although Kim Ga-young has been hosting the regular segment 'Kkaeal News' on MBC FM4U's 'Good Morning FM with Tae Yi' since 2019, there has been a surge in demands for her to step down since she was mentioned as a workplace bullying perpetrator. As Kim Ga-young has officially stepped down from 'Good Morning FM with Tae Yi', there is growing interest in whether she will also leave her other regular appearance on SBS's entertainment program 'Goal Diggers'. In response, SBS stated, "We are currently waiting for the results of the investigation," expressing a cautious stance.

Meanwhile, MBC has formed a fact-finding committee related to the workplace bullying allegations four months after the death of the deceased and has begun an investigation.
