MBC weathercaster late Oh Yoanna has been reported to have suffered from workplace bullying.
On the 27th, the Daily Newspaper reported that a will consisting of 17 pages was found on the late Oh Yoanna's mobile phone after the password was unlocked. According to the report, the will contains complaints about workplace bullying she received from two specific colleagues.
One colleague, who joined the company earlier, reportedly spread false information and blamed it on late Oh Yoanna, calling her to the office after working hours under the pretext of needing to teach her, and preventing her from leaving for more than 1 to 1.5 hours. Another colleague, who also joined earlier, allegedly criticized her for pointing out incorrect weather information, implying that 'a junior should not dare to correct a senior.'
During the casting of late Oh Yoanna for tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' in 2022, it was said that they questioned, 'What can she say when she goes out?' and she has been criticized for her abilities for a long time.
In relation to this, MBC has not yet made any official statement.
Meanwhile, Oh Yoanna passed away last September at the age of 28.
Oh Yoanna, who participated in the 13th public audition of JYP Entertainment in 2017, was selected as 'Sook' in the Chunhyang Selection Contest in May 2019, and also advanced to the finals of the SBS Supermodel Contest in November of the same year.
She passed the MBC weathercaster public audition in May 2021 and joined the company, appearing on 'MBC News Today', 'Weekend MBC News', '12 MBC News', and '930 MBC News' among others.
The following year, she appeared on 'You Quiz' and became known as one of the weathercasters from the three major broadcasting companies, gaining attention as a hot topic known as the 'You Quiz Weathercaster.'
