The 'King of Song' (歌王) Cho Yong-pil has announced the resumption of his Daejeon concert, which was temporarily postponed due to the Jeju Air tragedy.
His agency YPC officially stated on the 9th, "In order to participate in the national mourning period due to the Jeju Air passenger plane tragedy, the '20th Album Release Commemorative Cho Yong-pil & The Great Birth Concert - Daejeon' will be held on April 5, 2025 (Saturday) at 6 PM at the Daejeon Convention Center."
Due to concerns about confusion arising from the inability to reflect the ticket reservation system transfer and the loss of delivered tickets, all existing reserved tickets will be canceled en masse before re-opening for reservations.
YPC added, "Existing reserved tickets will be fully canceled through the reservation site, and detailed information can be found in the reservation site notice," and expressed, "Once again, we extend our deepest condolences to the victims and their families."
Cho Yong-pil released his 20th regular album '20' last November and has been holding a nationwide tour concert starting from Seoul on the 23rd of the same month.
On the 4th, he was scheduled to hold the '20th Album Release Commemorative Cho Yong-pil & The Great Birth Concert - Daejeon', but announced the postponement to participate in the national mourning period declared after the passenger plane tragedy at Muan International Airport in Jeollanam-do that occurred on the 29th of last month.
