Actor Lee Hee-jun caught attention by revealing that he was pen pals with Jo Seung-woo 20 years ago.
On the 7th, a video titled "My Dad is Growling Growling Growling" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Salon Drip 2'. In this video, the main actors of the movie 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances', Song Joong-ki and Lee Hee-jun, appeared as guests and shared various stories with Jang Do-yeon.
Jang Do-yeon asked Lee Hee-jun, "I heard you were pen pals with Jo Seung-woo 20 years ago." In response, Lee Hee-jun recalled, "This is a story from when I was 21 and doing theater in Daegu. Seoul was an object of longing. During the Chuseok holiday, I lied and came to Seoul to watch plays."

He shared, "During the holiday, I watched 'Brothers in Arms', where senior Kim Yoon-seok played the older brother, and Jo Seung-woo played the narrator. We were the same age, but he was so good," expressing his admiration. He then recounted the episode where he bravely asked Jo Seung-woo for his email address in front of the Hakjeon waiting room, suggesting they become pen pals.

He continued, "To be honest, I'm not good at that kind of thing, so I only sent one or two emails. After that, I stopped because I was worried it might make him uncomfortable. However, when I met Jo Seung-woo at a screening 15 years later and brought up that story, he remembered it," adding that it was a fascinating experience.

Meanwhile, the movie 'Bogotá: The Land of Last Chances', featuring Lee Hee-jun and Song Joong-ki, depicts the story of Guk-hee (played by Song Joong-ki), who goes to Bogotá, Colombia, right after the IMF crisis and gets entangled with the influential figure in the Korean community, Su-young (played by Lee Hee-jun). The film is currently showing.
