Comedians Park Soo-hong and Son Heon-soo shared the emotional moment of becoming fathers, breaking free from their anti-marriage stance.
On the 28th, Park Soo-hong's YouTube channel 'Park Soo-hong Happy Dahong' released a video titled '50 Days Old Jae-i | Tummy Time | Baby Babbling | Uncle Son Heon-soo and Aunt Hye-jin | Dragon Year Baby | Dragon Year Gathering'. The video captured Son Heon-soo and his wife visiting to celebrate the 50-day milestone of Park Soo-hong and his wife’s daughter, Jae-i.
On that day, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye offered advice to the soon-to-be parents, Son Heon-soo and his wife, as experienced caregivers. In particular, Kim Da-ye shared, “You naturally get used to parenting as you go along,” and added, “If you just endure a tough week of parenting, you’ll master it all,” which brought laughter with her practical experiences.
“We were anti-marriage, and now we are fathers…”
In the video, Park Soo-hong and Son Heon-soo embraced each other warmly, shedding tears of joy. Park Soo-hong expressed his gratitude, saying, “We were anti-marriage, and now we are fathers. I almost died without knowing such great joy.” The two then pledged to their wives, “Thank you. We will do our best to help with parenting.”
Additionally, Park Soo-hong humorously declared, “Goodbye to anti-marriage! We’ve done something great in a low-birthrate country,” delivering both inspiration and laughter.
Childbirth and Parenting, Advice from Seniors
When Son Heon-soo's wife expressed concerns about childbirth, Park Soo-hong and Kim Da-ye offered comforting words from their own experiences. Kim Da-ye said, “It’s different for everyone. Some people are running around just two days after giving birth,” sharing positive stories. In response, Son Heon-soo recalled the time Park Soo-hong cried and called him during Kim Da-ye’s C-section, sharing a mix of laughter and emotion.
Touching Moments, A Scene of Tears
On that day, Kim Da-ye offered a supportive hug to Son Heon-soo's wife, saying, “I know because I’ve been through it. Thinking about the struggles I faced brings tears to my eyes,” unable to hide her emotions. Park Soo-hong and Son Heon-soo also teared up, and the scene was filled with warm tears.
Park Soo-hong and his wife sincerely encouraged Son Heon-soo and his wife, saying, “Don’t make mom suffer, and come out well. You are a blessed child to have such good parents.”
“A New Beginning, A Great Gift”
Meanwhile, at the age of 54, Park Soo-hong welcomed his first child after registering his marriage with 23-year-younger Kim Da-ye in 2021 and holding their wedding in 2022. They shared great joy when they welcomed their first daughter last October.
Son Heon-soo announced that he welcomed a daughter on December 15, and both families are expressing their hopes and resolutions for parenting and their new lives.
