Singer Kim Ho-joong's donations continue.

On the morning of the 26th, the Heaven Hill facility of the Love Welfare Foundation in Seocho-gu, Seoul, stated to MK Sports, "The donations that started in February 2022 have continued without interruption. This November, a donation of 1 million won was received through automatic transfer."

The relationship between Kim Ho-joong and Heaven Hill, which began in 2022, is ongoing. While serving as a social service worker in Seocho-gu in 2022, Kim Ho-joong encountered the poor conditions of Heaven Hill and has been secretly supporting it since he was discharged from social service.

From February 2022 to November 2024, Kim Ho-joong's donations, which amount to 1 million won per month, are estimated to exceed approximately 34 million won. In this regard, a representative stated, "I cannot disclose the total donation amount, but it is true that 1 million won is being steadily paid every month through automatic transfer."

In addition to donations, Kim Ho-joong reportedly sends gifts for the disabled at the facility after overseas performances and organizes additional events such as 'Movie Watching' and 'Concert Going' every year. As a result, four staff members from Heaven Hill and about ten family members of the disabled at the facility voluntarily submitted a petition pleading for leniency.

Kim Ho-joong continues to donate regardless of the ongoing trial. In May of this year, he donated 15 million won as support for the cost of providing breakfast to about 250 homeless people at a temporary shelter in Seoul Station and for operational expenses.

Meanwhile, Kim Ho-joong is facing charges for fleeing after hitting a taxi on the opposite road while driving under the influence in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on May 9. On the 13th, Judge Choi Min-hye of the Seoul Central District Court sentenced Kim Ho-joong to 2 years and 6 months in prison for violating the Act on the Aggravated Punishment of Specific Crimes (dangerous driving causing injury), and his lawyer immediately filed an appeal.
