Korea Amway, the Korean subsidiary of Amway, a manufacturer of health supplements 'Nutrilite', is leading various social contribution activities.
Since entering Korea in 1991, Amway has focused on enhancing child welfare under the philosophy of 'Helping people live better, healthier lives' and has engaged in various charitable activities. Taking a step further, in 2019, it launched the 'Korea Amway Future Foundation' to carry out more systematic and professional social contributions.
The main social contribution activity of the Korea Amway Future Foundation is the practical campaign 'Health Guardian', which helps children realize the importance of health. This program is conducted by visiting elementary schools across the country, providing various systematic programs such as body composition measurement, Nutrition Quotient (NQ) diagnosis, nutrition and exercise education, mental health support, and consumer economics education to help children grow healthily.
A representative from Korea Amway stated, "Eating habits formed in childhood influence lifelong dietary patterns and have a significant impact on life. The 'Health Guardian' program was established with the intention of diagnosing and solving the issues faced by children who suffer from irregular eating habits and lack of exercise."
Body composition measurement comprehensively checks children's height, weight, body fat, and overall physical development and nutritional status. The NQ diagnosis measures the quality of meals and nutritional status through a children's nutrition index developed by Korea Amway in collaboration with the Korean Nutrition Society.
Nutrition education is conducted in a hands-on experience format where children can see, touch, and feel food models, in collaboration with the Korean Nutrition Society. The program includes fun activities where children can create food items like burgers using clay. Exercise education is also provided to encourage children to maintain interest in regular exercise, including aerobic activities and programs that foster teamwork and social skills.
Mental health support is a customized mental health education program for children conducted by psychological counseling experts. It delivers content suitable for children's perspectives on topics such as character education, mental health prevention education, and interpersonal relationship improvement.
To foster a proper consumer culture, economic education is also provided. This program helps children grow into rational and wise consumers with a correct understanding of economic concepts.

The program is also being enhanced. A representative from Korea Amway stated, "The Korea Amway Future Foundation is collaborating with institutions such as the Graduate School of Education at Kookmin University and the Art Therapy Department at Sookmyung Women's University to elevate the levels of nutrition and exercise education and mental health support."

The ability of Korea Amway to engage in various social contributions is thanks to the voluntary participation of Amway Business Owners (ABOs). ABOs actively participate in various volunteer activities based on local hubs, as well as cash and in-kind donations. Through this, various activities such as cultural events, career experiences, summer camps, and weekend meal support for children in need are actively carried out. In the process, they are also actively collaborating with other companies to enhance the program's effectiveness. A representative example is the social contribution activity expansion agreement signed with HDC Resort in October this year. The Korea Amway Future Foundation conducted a 'Health Guardian Camp' for children in care facilities at the 'Oak Valley' resort in Wonju, Gangwon Province. During the camp, they provided various programs such as nutrition education and cooking classes with professional nutritionists, receiving positive feedback from participants. The Korea Amway Future Foundation plans to continue collaborating with various companies and institutions in the future.
The Korea Amway Future Foundation also conducts education to help elderly individuals who are not familiar with using digital devices like smartphones avoid financial scams and voice phishing. This year, they established a new consumer protection education program for children, providing training to prevent financial damages such as voice phishing and smishing.
Chairman Cho Hoon-ha of the Korea Amway Future Foundation stated, "The Korea Amway Future Foundation has been sincerely engaged in social contributions," and added, "We will continue to provide various programs, including 'Health Guardian', and strive to create a healthy society."
