Jung Ji-sun decided to appear on 'Gag Concert' for his son.
On the afternoon of the 2nd, KBS2's entertainment program 'The Boss's Ears are Donkey Ears' (hereinafter 'Sadangui') featured Lee Soon-sil, Kim Byung-hyun, and Jung Ji-sun.
In this episode, the first boss, Lee Soon-sil, along with his team members Na Min-hee, Kim Seo-ah, and Seo Hyun-kyung, appeared as they celebrated the Lunar New Year together. The four visited Kim Seo-ah's neighbor, sharing food and creating a warm atmosphere by saying, "It was noisy because of the New Year. Please take good care of our Seo-ah. This is dumplings and rice cake."
Afterward, they visited the security office, saying, "Happy New Year! We gathered to share New Year food. Do you know who this person is?" while promoting themselves and sharing food. The security guard expressed gratitude, saying, "I see you a lot on 'Sadangui' and also on home shopping."
After sharing food with the neighbors, the four visited a photo studio and took a family photo. Lee Soon-sil said, "Please write the date. Also, write 'Happy New Year.' Please edit my face," charmingly making the panelists frown. The four agreed to choose just one photo, and when the younger siblings said, "The fourth photo looks good," Lee Soon-sil dismissed their opinions, saying, "You don't need to touch it. Your eyes are really strange."
Afterward, they removed blemishes and reduced the size of the face, and Na Min-hee joked, "Isn't this a scam?" making everyone burst into laughter. They continued with ridiculous Photoshop edits, such as enlarging the eyes and thinning the arms, and when the younger siblings protested, "This doesn't make sense... the chin is too pointy?" Lee Soon-sil replied, "Get out! I need to make my body smaller," and continued to edit her chin alone.
The second boss, Kim Byung-hyun, appeared. He had previously caused concern due to the closure of his hamburger shop, stating, "I have never given up, and since the New Year of 2025 has arrived, I want to try a new start. The place I signed a contract with is a food court in a building where several companies are gathered," revealing that he has not given up yet.
Entering the food court in Sangam-dong, the two scanned the restaurant menu, and Jung Ho-young said, "Shall we try one? The soul food for office workers is gukbap (rice soup). We should also order samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup)," and ordered two bowls of gukbap and samgyetang. Jung Ho-young remarked, "There are various menus here, but no burgers. The place that went out of business was a burger place," making everyone feel sorry.
The two asked the restaurant staff about the foot traffic, and they were told, "About 2,000 people come for lunch, and the rent is about 1 to 1.2 million won. People want to eat heartily for lunch, so the burger shop went out of business." During the meal, Jung Ho-young asked, "How about gukbap for you? Office workers eat gukbap. And these days, I don't spend more than 10,000 won for lunch. What are the menu prices?" Kim Byung-hyun replied, "Including drinks, I think it's between 11,000 and 12,000 won," which drew opposition from the panelists.
Jung Ho-young expressed, "As there are many consumers, there is also a lot of supply. And during holidays, customers don't come. This Lunar New Year, there are 9 holidays. A third of the month is gone," sharing his opinion and conducting market research by asking customers.
The next market research location the two visited was a buffet in Samseong-dong, Gangnam, known for its good value and popularity despite the high cost of living. Upon seeing the restaurant, Jung Ho-young exclaimed, "They have rose pasta, tonkatsu, tteokbokki... it's 9,000 won per person," shocking everyone, and the panelists chimed in, "Let's have a company dinner here!" and "All 'Sadangui' staff come!" generating laughter.
After tasting tonkatsu and buckwheat noodles, Jung Ho-young said, "Tonkatsu is the main dish, and it's delicious. Eating buckwheat noodles makes you want to eat more. After eating fried food, I cleanse my palate with buckwheat," showing a happy expression.
Later, the two visited the third market research restaurant, a gisa sikdang (a type of Korean restaurant) in Cheongpa-dong. Jung Ho-young ordered "two servings of bulgogi rice and one serving of sundubu jjigae (soft tofu stew)." The owner revealed the secret to running the restaurant for 40 years, saying, "I started in '85. Customers say it feels like home when they come here. When young people come, they feel like my sons. It's okay to eat a lot, but don't leave leftovers. We reduce waste with self-service. This is not a place you just pass by. Regular customers come here," surprising Kim Byung-hyun. Jung Ho-young summarized, "You can eat nearby, but people come here because they want to eat this restaurant's food."
Kim Byung-hyun declared, "If the Yangjae branch doesn't work out, I won't step into the same industry for a year," igniting his determination.
The third boss, Chef Jung Ji-sun, appeared. Jung Ji-sun headed to 'Gag Concert' with his son Lee Woo-hyung and Woo-hyung's friends, stating, "Today, I will appear on 'Gag Concert'," explaining the reason for visiting the broadcasting station.
After arriving at the 'Gag Concert' waiting room, Jung Ji-sun asked, "How should I greet? Try it," educating the children, and in the meantime, comedians Shin Yoo-seung and Jo Soo-yeon visited. Jung Ji-sun said, "My son likes the programs you both are in. I decided to appear because of my son. I looked at the script, and it didn't seem that difficult, right? I received a rookie award and an excellence award, so this is nothing," revealing the reason for his appearance on 'Gag Concert.'
Upon seeing Shin Yoo-seung, Woo-hyung said, "You look handsome. Congratulations on the grand prize," showing his fan spirit, and to Jo Soo-yeon, he stammered, "What?" making everyone laugh.
While practicing lines, as Jung Ji-sun was making a bath, Woo-hyung and his friends said, "Just one autograph... I'm Chef Jung Ji-sun's son," proudly claiming to be Jung Ji-sun's son, surprising him.
When filming began, Jung Ji-sun took the stage. With explosive reactions, he mistakenly said, "You came alone every day and ordered 300 Didi Didi Dim Sum, but today you came with a man?" but redeemed himself by showcasing the bath.
After finishing the first stage, Jung Ji-sun and the children enjoyed a feast with Shin Yoo-seung and Jo Soo-yeon, including pizza, chicken, and mala soup. Woo-hyung said, "Mom buys me everything I ask for. The time I spend with my friends is three times more than the time I spend with mom. It's been a while since I had a meal with mom. I only ate during dad's birthday last year and once while filming..." which made Jung Ji-sun feel bad.
He continued, "I feel sorry for the staff who get scolded by mom. When the staff get scolded, it's similar to me. But mom is caring. She knows how to do her own work," and Jeon Hyun-moo laughed, saying, "That's not something a fourth grader should say."
Jung Ji-sun said, "Recently, we went to Taiwan together, and people recognized Woo-hyung. But they recognized him because he looks like me," showing off his popularity and leaving the panelists speechless.
