Hwang Min-hyun from ‘Study Group’ has finally completed the full lineup of the ‘Study Group’.
In episodes 3 and 4 of the Tving original ‘Study Group’ (directed by Lee Jang-hoon and Yoo Beom-sang, written by Um Seon-ho and Oh Bo-hyun, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by Y Lab Plex, provided by Tving), released on the 30th, the story of the members coming together as a study group after overcoming a crisis was fully depicted. After a series of twists and turns, Lee Ji-woo (played by Shin Soo-hyun), Choi Hee-won (played by Yoon Sang-jung), and Lee Joon (played by Gong Do-yu) joined to form the complete study group. From the start of their first activity, the exchange meeting, the unpredictable ending of Yoon Ga-min (played by Hwang Min-hyun) raised curiosity and anticipation for the events to come.
In episodes 3 and 4 of ‘Study Group’, Yoon Ga-min once again unleashed his power to protect his friends and complete the study group. Yoon Ga-min and Kim Se-hyun (played by Lee Jong-hyun) discovered Lee Ji-woo being bullied by the student council member Kim Kyu-jin (played by Jin Woo-jin) in a classroom where a new applicant was present. Choi Hee-won, who submitted the study group application on behalf of Lee Ji-woo, explained that Kim Kyu-jin was bullying Lee Ji-woo with a video of her twin brother Lee Hyun-woo (played by Park Yoon-ho) committing theft. In response, Yoon Ga-min infiltrated the student council room to help Lee Ji-woo, whom he had already accepted as a potential study group member. Furious at the conversation about having Lee Ji-woo's weakness, Yoon Ga-min took down the student council members one by one and obtained the USB containing the video, with Kim Se-hyun even smashing the student council's computer case.
Everything seemed to be resolving smoothly, but an unimaginable incident occurred. Lee Hyun-woo, realizing that it was Kim Kyu-jin's scheme, aimed a knife at him, and an accident occurred when Lee Han-kyung (played by Han Ji-eun) intervened and got hurt. However, the crisis turned into an opportunity. Lee Ji-woo, who mustered the courage to visit Lee Han-kyung in the hospital for her brother's wrongdoing, decided to join the study group after recalling her teacher's encouragement and the friends who helped her.
With the dramatic joining of Lee Ji-woo and Choi Hee-won, only the last member remained, and a new applicant appeared for the study group. Lee Joon, impressed by Yoon Ga-min's combat skills, filled out a study group application form with dreams of conquering Yuseong Technical High School. However, the top-ranked first-year student Kang Tae-oh (played by Seo Min-je) mocked him and provoked Yoon Ga-min. Angered by the remarks about the study group, Yoon Ga-min jumped out of the library window and subdued Kang Tae-oh with a single punch. Yoon Ga-min then proposed a test, not a test, to Lee Joon, who promised to study instead of fight.
While Lee Joon was left alone in the library solving the problems left by Yoon Ga-min, someone came to visit him. It was scout Oh Jang-ho (played by Kim Min), who was selecting reserve forces for the Yeonbaek faction. Lee Joon followed Oh Jang-ho, who mistook him for Yoon Ga-min, to the reserve force testing site. As Oh Jang-ho quickly realized that Lee Joon was not Yoon Ga-min due to his below-average skills and was about to threaten him, Yoon Ga-min appeared with Lee Ji-woo and Park Geon-yeop (played by Hong Min-ki), shouting, “Lee Joon, you passed the study group test.” Touched by Lee Joon's efforts in solving all the problems without looking at the answer sheet, Yoon Ga-min recognized him as a member of the study group. With a meaningful remark, “Is it okay to use that on the uncle?” he began his attack, unleashing the forbidden technique No. 1 ‘One-Sided Beating’ from his martial arts master uncle, overwhelming scout Oh Jang-ho and saving Lee Joon. Thus, the study group completed the promised five members and was recognized as an official school club. However, the study group started off chaotically. On the day of the exchange meeting, Yoon Ga-min, who had a sleepless night due to nerves, mistakenly stepped into ‘Manikgo’ instead of ‘Manilgo’, hinting at yet another spectacular story to come.
Lee Han-kyung declared that he was certain that the actions of Lee Hyun-woo, who was cornered, were backed by Pi Han-ul (played by Cha Woo-min) and that he would bring him to the student council. Meanwhile, Pi Han-ul, who was keeping an eye on Yoon Ga-min, who disrupted the hierarchy of Yuseong Technical High School by declaring he would form a study group and subdued the Yeonbaek faction scout, and Lee Han-kyung, who was going against his mood, heightened the tension.
Episodes 5 and 6 of the Tving original ‘Study Group’ will be released on February 6 (Thursday).
