‘Love Transfer, Another Beginning’ delivered an exhilarating thrill by achieving a grand integration of the ‘Love Transfer’ universe.
In the first episode of the Tving original ‘Love Transfer, Another Beginning’ (directed by Kim Young-hwa and Lee Seung-hwan), which premiered on the 22nd, the tense first meeting unfolded between Lee Hye-sun, Jeong Hye-im, and Kwak Min-jae from ‘Love Transfer’, and Jeong Kyu-min, Park Na-eun, and Lee Ji-yeon from ‘Love Transfer 2’, as well as Kim Kwang-tae and Jo Hwi-hyeon from ‘Love Transfer 3’. The group, reunited in Jeju Island, created new memories in meaningful locations, bringing a unique excitement. Notably, immediately after the release of ‘Love Transfer, Another Beginning’, the spin-off and the previous season ranked first to third in Tving's real-time popular search terms, showcasing its enduring popularity.
The three MCs, Lee Yong-jin, Kim Ye-won, and Yoo Ra, who met again in the studio after a long time, could not hide their excitement about the integration of the ‘Love Transfer’ universe. They speculated on the significance of this Jeju trip in various ways, entering an immersion mode. In particular, the three MCs cheered and welcomed the cast members of ‘Love Transfer’ as they appeared, while also marveling at how much the cast had matured over time.
First, Lee Hye-sun, Jeong Hye-im, and Kwak Min-jae from ‘Love Transfer’ headed to an off-road location where they had enjoyed X dates in the past. The three naturally brought up stories from four years ago, sharing things they hadn’t been able to discuss until now. The mix of familiarity and unfamiliar tension was particularly palpable. Kwak Min-jae, who had shaken Jeong Hye-im's heart during ‘Love Transfer’, hinted at another beginning through this spin-off, piquing interest.
In ‘Love Transfer 2’, Jeong Kyu-min, Park Na-eun, and Lee Ji-yeon, who had a submarine date, surprised everyone as their past chemistry continued seamlessly. Although they had matured compared to before, Park Na-eun and Lee Ji-yeon still exuded a vitamin-like charm, playfully teasing Jeong Kyu-min and bringing laughter. Most notably, since Park Na-eun and Lee Ji-yeon had previously shown a momentary attraction towards Jeong Kyu-min in ‘Love Transfer 2’, curiosity grew about whether there would be a twist during this trip.
In ‘Love Transfer 3’, Kim Kwang-tae and Jo Hwi-hyeon appeared, showcasing a fresh yet intense dynamic. The two, expecting new cast members, maintained a bromance concept even in unexpected encounters, providing another layer of fun. In particular, Kim Kwang-tae's continued prowess in flirting ignited the bromance narrative, causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Thus, the cast members from each season of ‘Love Transfer’ found their original charm as the past and future intertwined, culminating in the first meeting of the entire season. Yoo Ra expressed strong curiosity about the familiar yet unfamiliar journey, stating, “It’s happening, (romantic feelings) might come out,” which heightened anticipation for future developments.
With the integration of the universe, the Tving original ‘Love Transfer, Another Beginning’ will expand its universe, with the second episode set to be released on Wednesday, the 29th, at 12 PM.
