Actor Kwon Hyung-seok is joining 'Study Group'.
According to his agency Anik Entertainment on the 22nd, Kwon Hyung-seok will appear in the TVING original 'Study Group' (directed by Lee Jang-hoon and Yoo Beom-sang, written by Um Seon-ho and Oh Bo-hyun).
'Study Group' is based on a popular webtoon of the same name, telling the story of Yoon Ga-min (Hwang Min-hyun), who wants to study well but has all his talent focused on fighting, as he dives into a brutal entrance exam at the worst school and forms a study group in this comedic high school action piece.
Kwon Hyung-seok will play Lee Dae-cheol, a character who opposes Yoon Ga-min and one of the members of the training class at Yuseong Technical High School. He is expected to showcase his presence with stable acting and character interpretation that is not typical for a newcomer.
Kwon Hyung-seok expressed through his agency, "It has been a happy time to be able to participate in a good project," and added, "I hope that the result will be as fun and warm as the 'Study Group' set."
Kwon Hyung-seok, who debuted in the 2021 MBC variety show 'Extreme Debut: Wild Idol', has been steadily building his skills with roles in MBC drama 'Lovely Today' (2023) and Disney+ 'Tyrant' (2024).
