Gong Hyo-jin, Oh Jung-se, Heo Nam-jun, and Lee Cho-hee embark on a mission with a purpose.
The new tvN weekend drama "Ask the Stars" (written by Seo Suk-hyang, directed by Park Shin-woo, planned by Studio Dragon, produced by KeyEast and MYM Entertainment), which will premiere on the 4th, depicts the life of Boss Eve (played by Gong Hyo-jin) working in a zero-gravity space station and an unexpected guest, Dinosaur (played by Lee Min-ho), who has a secret mission. As the first domestic space office drama that drama fans must watch, it is considered one of tvN's highly anticipated works for the first half of 2025.
In the drama, space scientists Eve Kim, Kang Kang-soo (played by Oh Jung-se), Lee Seung-jun (played by Heo Nam-jun), and Mina Lee (played by Lee Cho-hee) conduct research on various diseases occurring on Earth through experiments with living organisms, including animals and plants, in a space station where everything is weightless. During their research, the scientists build a close bond with their experimental subjects, such as fruit flies and mice, as they eat and sleep together every day.
Eve Kim, the scientist in charge of the mice, along with Lee Seung-jun, and Kang Kang-soo, the scientist in charge of the fruit flies, are struggling to find ways to treat human diseases through these organisms in the zero-gravity environment of space. Given the various variables present in space, everything, from fruit fly breeding to surgical procedures on mice, takes place in conditions different from those on Earth.
As such, the experiments conducted by Eve Kim, Lee Seung-jun, and Kang Kang-soo are not expected to go smoothly. It raises curiosity about whether they will achieve the desired results in the space station.
Meanwhile, Mina Lee, the scientist in charge of plants, is researching whether it is possible to cultivate plants in space, away from the increasingly warming Earth. She is driven by a mission to solve humanity's food problems by growing plants in space. Attention is focused on whether Mina Lee, who is always worried about mold growing on lettuce or tomato leaves, will be able to fulfill her mission in space.
Thus, "Ask the Stars" is expected to provide fresh fun and entertainment through the struggles of space scientists Eve Kim, Kang Kang-soo, Mina Lee, and Lee Seung-jun as they carry out their respective missions in the space station.
The new tvN weekend drama "Ask the Stars," where the research of astronauts crucial to humanity's future will take place, will premiere on Saturday, the 4th, at 9:20 PM.
