BLACKPINK's Rosé expressed her anticipation for the group's full activities next year.
On the 11th, Rosé appeared as a guest on tvN's ‘You Quiz on the Block’.
On that day, Rosé commented on the popularity of 'Apartment', saying, "It's just something amazing." Yoo Jae-suk praised her, saying, "Rosé is not just a vocalist. She has also written lyrics and composed music."
Regarding the inspiration for 'Apartment', Rosé shared, "When I started working on music with my friends in the studio, they taught me a Korean drinking game. I actually like the 'Apartment' game. It's the simplest and easiest. So I taught it to my friends, and after that, they kept saying 'Apartment, Apartment' whenever we did something." She added, "I thought it would be fun to write a song about it as a joke, and it turned out like this."
On collaborating with Bruno Mars, she said, "Bruno Mars was signed to the label I contracted with in the U.S. After I mentioned I was a fan, I asked, 'Would you consider collaborating?' They replied, 'Send us three songs.' I thought, 'There's no way this will happen,' but while choosing three songs, I felt I had to send 'Apartment'. I couldn't imagine him singing the other songs. I could imagine him singing 'Apartment'. People told me not to send 'Apartment', but I secretly sent it."
She continued, "Then I got a message back asking, 'What does Apartment mean?' I told them it was a Korean drinking game. They replied, 'That's crazy. It's awesome.' They really liked it," she smiled.
Yoo Jae-suk asked Rosé, "Do you ever miss the BLACKPINK members?" Rosé replied, "A lot. On the day 'Apartment' was released, I was waiting for the results and had a video call with Lisa for over an hour."
She added, "I could easily call Jisoo, but I've texted her for over an hour many times. Jennie also sent me a video of 'Apartment' coming out from behind the scenes not long ago. We keep in touch often. Since everyone is busy living their lives in different places, I miss them."
With group activities approaching in 2025, Rosé expressed, "I think there will be more synergy. Since we are people who make music, I believe there needs to be a certain energy coming from somewhere for us to grow more, so I think (solo activities) were an important time. (Group activities) will likely be more fun because they come from the heart."
